This policy explains how Firesio Warranty Inc. ("we") handles personal data in connection with Firesio Warranty, an application for Shopify stores.

What personal data do we collect?

We collect merchant shop identifiers, contact email addresses, order IDs, and product details required to issue and manage warranty policies. When customers submit warranty claims, we collect customer contact information and relevant claim evidence files.

Why do we collect it, and what do we do with it?

We process data solely to provide warranty management services, including policy configuration, digital certificate issuance, customer claim resolution, and subscription management. We do not sell data or use it for automated profiling.

Who do we share it with?

We only share information with critical infrastructure providers necessary to operate the service: Cloudflare for cloud hosting, SQLite database storage, and file storage; and Shopify for app ecosystem APIs and billing transactions.

Where is it stored, and for how long?

Data is stored in secure, encrypted Cloudflare data centers in North America and distributed edge points. We retain records while your store maintains an active installation, and delete shop records following uninstallation.

How do we keep it secure?

We enforce HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest, secure API authentication tokens, and strict tenant isolation. In the event of a security breach, affected merchants are notified promptly in accordance with applicable laws.

What rights do individuals have, and how are they exercised?

Merchants and customers may request access, correction, or deletion of their personal information at any time. We also implement Shopify's mandatory compliance webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, and shop/redact) for automated data requests.
