Quick answers
Plans and policies
Two plans match one product. Which applies?
The most specific one wins: a plan for a single product beats one for its collection, which beats one for all products. Exclusions always win.
If I edit a policy, do warranties already sold change?
No. Saving creates a new version for future sales. Each warranty keeps the terms it was sold under.
When does a warranty start?
You choose per plan: when the order is paid, when it ships, or when the buyer registers. If a buyer never registers, the warranty starts by itself between 1 and 90 days after shipment, as you set it.
Your storefront
The warranty options do not show on my product page.
Check three things: the product block is added in the theme editor, the warranty embed is on (Settings › Storefront shows both), and a plan covers the product.
Can buyers add a warranty from the cart?
Yes, when the cart block is on, each covered item without a warranty offers one.
Claims
Does approving a claim refund the buyer?
No. The claim records your decision and links to the order in Shopify, where you refund, replace or reship yourself.
Which photos can buyers send?
JPG, PNG, WEBP, and HEIC photos up to 10 MB each, in the photo fields of your claim form.
Billing
How do I change or cancel my plan?
Open Billing in the app. To stop completely, uninstall the app from your Shopify admin.
